# Sourcing List — reusable weekly source checklist

Written 2026-09-02. Goal: ~4-5 companies/week toward 80+, without re-deciding where to look each time. Revisit and prune sources every month or two based on what actually surfaces good candidates.

## General / cross-category

1. **YC batch pages + demo day lists** — batches now run more frequently; scan each new batch's company list for the three categories. https://www.ycombinator.com/companies
2. **a16z portfolio page** — filter by AI/enterprise/fintech. https://a16z.com/portfolio/
3. **Sequoia portfolio page** — same filter approach. https://www.sequoiacap.com/companies/
4. **Crunchbase** — saved searches per category, sorted by "recently funded," filtered to seed/Series A-B (pre-crowded-yet). Requires a paid seat for full filtering; free tier usable for spot checks.
5. **Wellfound (AngelList Talent/Jobs)** — company pages often surface earlier-stage AI startups via job postings before they're widely covered.
6. **Crunchbase News / TechCrunch funding roundups** — weekly funding recap articles, filter for AI + fintech + vertical SaaS keywords.
7. **The Information — AI newsletter/vertical coverage** — deeper reporting on specific companies, good for founding-team and traction signal, not just headline raise.
8. **Lenny's Newsletter** — product/PM-adjacent, occasionally surfaces vertical SaaS AI-native companies via guest posts and "who's building X" threads.

## Agent Infrastructure specific

9. **X/Twitter accounts to follow:** founders/investors actively posting on agent infra (search for recurring voices at Sequoia, Index Ventures, a16z infra teams — these are the funds most active in this category per 2026 deal flow).
10. **GitHub Trending (agents, orchestration, eval tags)** — open-source-first agent infra companies often show traction on GitHub before a funding announcement.
11. **Category aggregator sites** (spot-check periodically, not core weekly source — content quality varies): aifunding.me, gravity.fast AI Agent Funding Tracker, presenc.ai research reports.

## Vertical SaaS AI-Native specific

12. **Category-specific press:** Modern Healthcare / Fierce Healthcare (health), Law.com / Legaltech News (legal), Construction Dive (construction), Insurance Journal (insurance) — scan monthly for "AI-native" or "AI agent" coverage.
13. **YC + a16z/Sequoia filtered by vertical tag** (reuse sources #1-3, filter differently).
14. **LinkedIn: follow vertical-specific operators-turned-founders** — the wedge in this category is often domain expertise + AI, so look for founders with 5+ years in the target industry before founding.

## AI-Native Fintech specific

15. **Sky9 Capital / Fintech Schweiz / FintechNews.ch funding roundups** — fintech-specific funding trackers, monthly cadence.
16. **Crunchbase News fintech vertical page** — dedicated fintech funding coverage, good for H1/H2 aggregate reports plus individual raises.
17. **a16z fintech + Ribbit Capital + QED Investors portfolio pages** — the most active fintech-focused funds; scan portfolios for AI-native framing.
18. **Agentic payments / agent-first brokerage keyword searches** (new sub-thread, least crowded — search "agent-first," "agentic payments," "AI-native underwriting" directly on Crunchbase/TechCrunch monthly).

## Weekly cadence (suggested)

- Monday: scan sources #1-4 (YC, a16z, Sequoia, Crunchbase saved searches) for new raises across all 3 categories.
- Wednesday: category-specific pass — rotate which category gets the deep source dive each week (agent infra one week, vertical SaaS the next, fintech the week after).
- Friday: log whatever surfaced as company-profile nodes (target 4-5/week); note anything borderline for revisit rather than force-scoring it early.
